Cultivation, care
In summer, it should not receive the hot and steep sun at noon directly. In fact, it can adapt to even the scorching sun, but then it will not have much beauty, and its development in pots will be severely interrupted. The danger of summer sun is greater for Variegata, that is, Euphorbia lactea varieties, which are mixed color with white. But on the other hand, shadow, dim places are not good either. The place where it is located should receive the strongest daylight during the day and should be able to receive the morning or evening sun directly.
Irrigation
Their natural habitats are dry for one period of the year and monsoon for another period of the year. For this reason, it is a plant suitable for frequent watering in hot summer months. Do not water at all during the winter. In other words, not in hot houses, but in very cool and cold times/spaces, only when the soil is completely dry, wait another five to ten days and then water it. Or if it looks pretty firm and plump, extend the dewatering a little longer, even in warm homes.
Soil and plant food
I recommend a mixture of 3 parts peat soil + 1 part coarse-grained river sand + 1 part pumice stone. Change the soil every year. Do not give plant food or fertilizer. If you do not change the soil in the second year, give general use liquid plant food (for indoor plants) or special cactus food, but by adjusting the dose by half. Only three times, in mid-June, mid-July and mid-August.
production
Euphorbia lactea varieties are produced by cutting and grafting methods. Variyegata (with obvious white) varieties are not very suitable for propagation by cuttings. They usually don't root at all. If you are going to buy steel from these, I would not recommend it, but if you are going to do it, choose the branches with a lot of green. Because the green ones are more likely to root. The best time for this is the beginning of June. As root plants, other Euphorbia species, which are very similar, and Euphorbia species with strong branches and succulent properties are used, even if they are not similar. An advantage of breeding with grafting: According to the characteristics of the Euphorbia species to be used as a root plant, its development can be several times faster than normal.
